A school as large and complex as ours sometimes results in a bit of confusion for parents. That, or the systems sometimes don't work as designed. Any time a parent needs help, the teacher is the first line of support. Teachers are in the best position to answer any class or classroom-policy related question, and usually they can assist with simple classroom technology questions too. But sometimes parents require a little extra assistance.
Please direct parents to the Parent Support Portal located by visiting https://support.vcs.net.
Perhaps they missed a campus newsletter. Or perhaps there are other issues related to areas outside of the classroom.
The parent/student support portal was designed to be a "one-stop-shop" for parents to get questions answered on a variety of topics representing a wide cross-section of our support services such as security, finance, busing, transcripts, website and parent portal, and more.
Of course, if a parent wishes to speak to a live person, the teacher is once again the first line of support. If the teacher is not able to answer the question, or if the question pertains to an area outside of the teacher's purview, for example a finance question, they may choose to escalate to a department head, supervisor, campus staff, or principal as appropriate.
*please note: Students may also use the Support Portal for assistance or they may jump into a live Zoom meeting to receive technical support as well. We ask that teachers please attempt to help your student prior to referring them to the support portal. Thank you!
