Zoom requires that meetings be secured with one of three security options: a passcode, Waiting room, or Only authenticated users can join meetings. To ensure the security of classroom meetings, VCS has enforced the use of both the Waiting room and Only authenticated users can join security options.
Both of these security options are turned on by default. We strongly recommend you use both, but at least one must be used. Please familiarize yourself with both below.
Waiting room |
Only authenticated users can join |
The Waiting room security setting allows you to control when participants can enter your meeting.
|
The Only authenticated users can join security setting permits only VCS staff and students to enter your Zoom meeting.
|
When students are admitted to your room, they will have some additional meeting controls enabled to enahnce the security of your meeting and minimize disruption.
