To share your screen in Zoom:
1. Open content (slides, PDF's, websites, etc.) that you plan to share prior to starting your meeting, if possible.
2. Start your meeting and click Share on the Zoom toolbar when ready
3. Choose your sharing options.
- Choose Screen (PC) or Desktop (MAC) if you want to share multiple types of content to your participants.
- NOTE: Be careful not to show a window that you don't want your participants to see, like email or gradebook.
- Choose an Application window to show just a single window (like a browser, Office doc, PDF, etc.).
- You can still switch windows but your participants will only see the selected window.
- Choose a Layout for how you want yourself to appear with the shared screen.
- Choose Share sound if your content has audio.
- Choose Optimize for video sharing to play a video.
Then, click Share.
4. Use the floating meeting controls while you share to share a annotate, pause, stop, or start sharing a new window.
5. You can click and drag on the floating tools to move them, or, click More > Hide floating tools. Press the Escape key on your keyboard to show the floating tools again.
- You can also use the More menu to begin sharing sound or video, if you didn't choose those during the orginal sharing settings.
6. Click Stop share when you're done sharing.
