If a student is unable to join your Apple Classroom, or, if a student's device is not fully observable in Apple Classroom, try these troubleshooting steps.
First, try these simple troubleshooting steps:
- Confirm that both teacher and student devices are connected to the VCS WiFi network
- Note: If student has VCS Visitors listed in "My Networks", disconnect by pressing the "i" bubble and pressing "Forget This Network"
- Confirm that both teacher and student devices have bluetooth turned on
- Student should leave the teacher's classroom (if previously joined)
- Teacher and student(s) should restart their device(s)
- Teacher re-invite student
If Apple Classroom still isn't working, teacher and student should check for software updates:
Teacher
- Update iOS (or OS if you using Mac)
- Update the Apple Classroom App in the App Store (if available)
Students
- Update iOS
