VCS requires all employees to change their computer password at least once a year.
Important Notes About Changing Your VCS Computer Password:
- Your VCS computer password is automatically synced to many other accounts, including Wi-Fi, Email, Warriorlife, Adobe Creative Cloud, and others.
- After you change your password, you will be prompted to enter your new password by many of these synced accounts on all devices that you access them on. You may also be prompted by the Microsoft Authenticator App to authenticate after entering your new password.
- After you enter your new password by these synced accounts, you should also update your password manager(s).
- If you don't change your password before its yearly expiration, you will be forced to change it the first time you log-in on campus, following the expiration.
To change your computer password before it expires:
1. Be on campus.
2. Have your Microsoft Authenticator App handy.
3. Create a new password that meets our password criteria. Click here to see our article for help creating a password.
4. Press the Control-Alt-Delete keys together on your keyboard.
5. Click Change a password.
6. Enter your current password once, your new password twice, and click the right arrow to submit your password change.
7. Click OK.
8. You can resume working on your computer, but you will be prompted to enter your new password by some of your programs and websites. You may also be prompted to authenticate after entering your new password.
