Email etiquette is very important here at VCS. Here are some tips below shared by some of your VCS colleagues, as well as a link to 101 general tips.
- Write in complete sentences
- When corresponding with parents and students, write in a professional manner
- Limit your email length – if it takes more than a paragraph, consider a phone call instead
- Respond to parent and student emails within 24hrs
- When corresponding with colleagues, keep it professional
- Avoid forwarding non-work related items to colleagues
- Avoid using all-caps as this may be perceived as anger
- Do not use fancy, cursive fonts nor flashy colors or wallpapers in your email
